A large pair of beautiful Empire style side lamps fit for a lovely new home.

These decorative Corinthian column table lamps are circa 1940/50’s.

There come with a matching pair of beautiful condition hand made period lampshades of great proportions.
A gilded stepped onyx & gilt base that is leading to fluted gilt metal Corinthian columns topped with the classic Corinthian decoration of acanthus leaves and elaborate cornice.

The lamps date from the 2nd quarter of the 20th Century.

They have been restored & re-wired in our own workshops to meet today’s UKCA standards then pat tested by our qualified team to make them safe and ready for a new home.

Nothing says grand country house like great lighting and these two with the original shades give the perfect look,proportion and gravitas for any home.The lampshades show signs of patina and a little damage to the rear of one of them does not detract from these quality items.

They both have new gold coloured flex measuring approx 1.5 meters each and new plugs.

The gilding is complimented by the creamy and subtle green onyx with hints of red veins cutting through the onyx.

The stunning lamp holders have been overhauled and the charming original Bakelite switches have been retained.

The lamps are heavy and substantial items of considerable quality.

It’s unusual to have lamps of this quality available in a pair.
